“He’s been poor” – Tim Sherwood singles out Newcastle man after his performance against Nottingham Forest

Newcastle defender Dan Burn was chastised by Tim Sherwood following a ‘bad’ performance against Nottingham Forest earlier today.

Newcastle got off to a fast start, with Alexander Isak scoring from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute.

But Nottingham Forest got back into the game just before halftime as former Magpies player Chris Wood leveled the score.

And the 32-year-old went on to score two more goals in the second half to complete his hat-trick and secure a fantastic Boxing Day victory for Nottingham Forest.

Tim Sherwood blasted Dan Burn’s defensive performance on Sky Sports, noting Wood’s second goal, where Burn was unable to control the forward.

Sherwood emphasized Burn’s trouble in handling Wood, which led to a goal that showcased Wood’s brilliance and Burn’s defensive error.

Sherwood stated,

“Elanga picks up the ball; he’s just too fast for everyone.” Isak tries to grab him down and drags him to the ground. Chris Kavanagh takes full advantage of his situation.

“The ball is passed to Chris Wood, who is alone and surrounded by Newcastle players – about three or four of them.”

“Dan Burn approaches him and twists him inside out. He’s been bad, and he’s just been arrested.

“Wood moves towards Dubravka, who has just emerged, and dinks it over the top of him.” Excellent conclusion.”
