AC Milan now face strong competition from Serie A rivals to sign €25m-rated star

Napoli aims to bolster their defense in January and have their sights set on acquiring Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, a player also on Milan’s radar.

The 23-year-old Polish center-back moved from Spezia to the Gunners in a €25 million deal last January, transitioning to the Premier League after an impressive spell in Liguria. He was considered among Serie A’s most promising young defenders before his move to England.

However, Kiwior has found it challenging to secure regular playing time under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, clocking only 565 minutes across 13 appearances this season, mostly serving as a backup behind William Saliba and Gabriel.

According to reports from Il Mattino via TMW, Napoli holds an interest in recruiting Kiwior in January but faces the hurdle of striking the right deal with Arsenal, as the Gunners aren’t keen on a loan. It’s speculated that a €25 million offer could be sufficient to secure the Polish defender’s services.

Milan also harbors interest in the 23-year-old, hinting at potential competition when the January transfer window opens shortly.

As an alternative, Napoli is considering Aston Villa’s Clement Lenglet, who, due to limited playing time during his loan spell in England, might make a switch from the Premier League to Serie A.
