Earlier this month, Roc Bellantoni was officially appointed as Auburn football’s outside linebackers coach, following several offseason staff changes prompted by departures to other programs.
Bellantoni, who previously worked at Auburn under Bryan Harsin, had spent the last two seasons as Florida Atlantic’s defensive coordinator. Upon his return to Auburn, he quickly reengaged in recruiting efforts, including reaching out to 4-star linebacker.
Campbell, a highly ranked prospect from Opa Locka, Florida, is the No. 4 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 overall recruit in Florida. Although he committed to Miami in November 2023, his recruitment remains open.
Campbell visited Auburn for the second time ahead of upcoming trips to Alabama and Georgia.
“When [Bellantoni] first got the job, we had a conversation about me visiting, my film, and everything,” Campbell shared with Auburn Rivals. “That means a lot to me. It shows how much interest they have and how much they believe in me as a player and who I claim to be.”

During the visit, Campbell toured the facilities, but the standout moment for him was learning about Auburn’s defensive system and how he would fit within it.
“My favorite part was them showing what they can do for us, like how they can transform my body in one year,” Campbell said. “They explained their scheme and defensive strategies, which align with what I’m comfortable playing. They run a 3-4, and I’ve played in a 3-3-5. They’re also a 4-2 team with a lot of defensive versatility, which I’m used to.”
With Auburn hosting a major Junior Day recruiting event next weekend, Campbell noted that he might visit the program for a third time.
