What did Nikola Jokic say that sparked his surprise ejection in the Nuggets win over the Bulls?
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Chicago Bulls 114-106 on Tuesday night, and the triumph was made all the more amazing by the fact that Nikola Jokic did not play in the second half after being disqualified late in the first. Jokic’s dismissal was unexpected, but it appears that a specific magic word caused him to hit the showers early.
Jokic was rather quiet in his 16 minutes of action (4 PTS, 9 REB, 6 AST, 2-5 FGM) before being ejected for appealing a no-call from the officials.
On the surface, Jokic’s ejection seemed perplexing, but it turns out that his use of profanity towards the ref resulted in him receiving a double technical and being ejected from the game.
Heard from a few different people close enough to hear that it was "call the foul MFer."
Either way, seems ridiculously light for an instant double tech and ejection. https://t.co/GP5VG1SjHk

NBA officials have garnered the ire of fans everywhere with several questionable ejections early in the new season, and Jokic’s is one of them. Despite the fact that he allegedly yelled profanity towards a ref, assessing him a double technical without any kind of warning seems like a heavy price to pay for one of the game’s best players.
In any case, Denver managed to hold on and defeat the lowly Bulls, although they would have like to have Jokic on the court to make things easier for them. What’s in the past is in the past, though, and Nikola Jokic will be looking to stay on the court for the full game when the Nuggets take on the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.
