David de Gea drops hint over return to football amid Newcastle links

DaviGea d de may be returning to football, based on hints he’s dropped.

The 33-year-old goalie hasn’t had a team since leaving Manchester United in the summer on a free agency basis. Although it’s thought the Spaniard declined offers to relocate to Saudi Arabia, he hasn’t started playing for a new team yet.

In the aftermath of first-choice stopper Nick Pope’s injury, Newcastle United is the most recent team to be linked to De Gea. As a result, the former Burnley player will spend more than five months in the treatment center.

Some have put pressure on , the manager of Newcastle, to go for  including Alan Pardew.

By uploading a picture of himself in a field wearing goalie gloves on Instagram, De Gea has now stoked rumors about his future. The caption for the photo read, “Work, work, work.”

In Pope’s absence, Martin Dubravka has been added back to the starting lineup, although it’s unclear if Howe would try to acquire a new goalkeeper in January. Mark Gillespie and Loris Karius are also members of his team.

Tonight, AC Milan and Newcastle play in the Champions League.
