The Champions League is the most financially rewarding club competition in football, and participating in it may completely overhaul a club’s income.

As Corriere della Sera (via Milan News) points out, there is a lot of money on the line tonight when AC Milan plays Borussia Dortmund at San Siro.

However, if Milan advances, they stand to collect roughly €20 million. This amount includes UEFA prize money, increased sponsorship revenue, and more ticket sales for Champions League nights.
