AC Milan have already identified 22-year-old to replace Theo Hernandez amid recent fears

At AC Milan, Theo Hernandez has established himself as one of the top full-backs in the world, but the club’s management wants to be prepared for any eventuality, therefore they are looking for a replacement.

Milan are interested in Quilindschy Hartman, a 22-year-old left-back for Feyenoord, according to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan). The club is currently looking for a deputy to Theo, hence the links with players such as Juan Miranda of Real Betis.

In terms of major sales, next summer could bring some surprises. Nobody could have predicted Sandro Tonali’s exit to Newcastle United in early June, but the deal was simply too excellent to pass up, allowing for ten new additions to be made.

Theo might follow the road set by the Italian midfielder last year because the Frenchman fits into the same category of players who are always monitored by top clubs across Europe who are willing to pay significant sums.

Milan is interested in Hartman, but he is now viewed as a deputy to Theo rather than a direct replacement. Hernandez’s contract situation allows management to relax, as he renewed it last year until 2026.
