Latest- Southampton confirm departure of ‘outstanding’ 22-year-old

SAINTS goalkeeper Jack Bycroft has been loaned out to National League Oxford City until January 2024.

The 22-year-old will join the National League newcomers on a season-long loan for his second stint in the fifth division.

Bycroft had a brief stint as injury cover with Aldershot Town earlier this season, where he kept one clean sheet in three games.

Bycroft has been training with the first team on a regular basis this season and served as coach Dean Thornton’s third man during the early part of the Championship season when Alex McCarthy was injured.

The Saints statement continues, “The club wishes Jack well for the duration of his loan spell and will continue to follow his progress.”

Last season, Bycroft was Taunton Town’s player of the season after helping them survive in the National League South on loan.
