After the game, Hodgson spoke to London News Online about Rak Sakyi’s injury problem.

“It’s bad,” Hodgson confirmed. “We don’t know for sure. We’re not talking about a week or two; we’re probably talking about much longer. It’s a crushing blow.

“Just as Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are nearly back in the fold, we lose another player who we believe is very important for us in our attacking play.”

“We regained two and lost one. I would have preferred to have all three.”

Rak-Sakyi injury a big blow

The young winger has performed admirably in all of his opportunities to impress under Hodgson, but losing a player of his caliber is a crushing blow for the Eagles.

According to London News Online, the injury is a hamstring strain sustained while training with the Eagles; this is not an uncommon occurrence for the Eagles.

During the season, Nathan Ferguson, Odsonne Edouard, Michael Olise, Jefferson Lerma, and Eberechi Eze have all suffered hamstring injuries.
