AC Milan are reportedly working on a deal to sign Lloyd Kelly, just hours after Liverpool were linked with the AFC Bournemouth midfielder once again.
The Rossoneri are interested in signing Kelly, according to Fabrizio Romano, with Kelly’s contract set to expire next summer as transfer speculation mounts for the 25-year-old.
TalkSport reported earlier today that Liverpool are interested in the Cherries centre-back, but Milan have now stepped up their pursuit of Kelly.
According to Romano, Juventus is also interested in the defender, and Liverpool’s pursuit of Kelly may now be on the verge of collapsing if they do not respond quickly enough.
Liverpool need to invest in defense this January, and given Kelly’s Premier League experience and age, the
Bournemouth star could not be more ideal for the Reds.

Liverpool need to beat Milan to Kelly in January
Kelly is clearly going to be in high demand this January, and Liverpool must ensure that they are the team that wins the race to sign the defender.
While Milan would be a tempting move given the club’s stature, Kelly may find that playing at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp is just as appealing.
As a result, Liverpool have a good chance of signing the 25-year-old in the new year, though work must begin soon if the defender is to be signed.
