“The results must be better” – Agent of Burnley signing wants more from club, big transfer is now sealed

Burnley completed the loan signing of Mike Trésor from KRC Genk on deadline day, with an obligation to buy if certain set conditions were met.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the 24-year-old’s transfer to Turf Moor was automatically triggered after he made five appearances for Burnley this season.

The Jupiler Pro League club will receive €18 million from the winger’s permanent sale to the Clarets.

Vincent Kompany’s team has only won one league game this season, against Luton Town, and the Belgian international was an unused substitute.

Burnley have four points from ten games, and Trésor has yet to win a league game with his new club.

Shallon Nkeshimana, the player’s agent, believes Kompany and Trésor must perform better in the league.

“Mike is competing in a new competition. The outcomes must be better, but this is a new challenge for him. He has only recently arrived. He enjoys his life there. He recently relocated to Manchester, where the majority of Burnley’s players reside,” he told HLN.

Trésor was the ‘assist king’ in Belgium last season after starring for Genk with eight goals and 24 assists. He hasn’t yet been able to replicate that form at Burnley.

Burnley supporters may have to wait for the attacker to adjust to his new surroundings before he begins to shine for them.
