The New York Jets have been officially eliminated from playoff contention after their Week 14 loss to the Miami Dolphins, leaving the team, including wide receiver Garrett Wilson, visibly frustrated. This marks the 14th consecutive year without a postseason appearance for the Jets, who last made the playoffs in 2010. Expectations were high when Aaron Rodgers joined the team in 2023, but his presence hasn’t turned things around. Following their 32-26 defeat to Miami, Wilson expressed his disappointment, saying simply, “I don’t feel good.”
Garrett Wilson has been the Jets’ top performer this season, amassing 877 receiving yards and five touchdowns across 13 games. However, his contributions haven’t translated into victories, as the Jets now hold a disappointing 3-10 record after Sunday’s defeat. Wilson’s frustration is understandable, given that the team began the season with high hopes but fell short of the expectations and hype surrounding them.
Garrett Wilson isn’t the only one voicing frustration over the Jets’ season. Aaron Rodgers also described the continuation of the team’s playoff drought as “disappointing,” acknowledging, “we just didn’t figure out how to win enough games.” As the season winds down, the Jets face critical decisions in their quest to return to playoff contention and re-establish themselves as title contenders.
