Virginia Tech football Confirm Ground-breaking News Regarding Quarterback

The Virginia Tech Hokies has completed a 19-player recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. Brent Pry, the head coach, concluded things on a high note by recruiting four-star cornerback Jahmari DeLoatch on signing day after the Chesapeake native switched his Cincinnati commitment.

While the Hokies’ 2025 quarterback position is unknown at the present, Pry has signed two young signal-callers in the 2025 class that could compete to be Virginia Tech’s next quarterback in waiting: Kelden Ryan (DeSoto, Texas) and AJ Brand (Columbia, South Carolina).

On Wednesday, the Hokies had a live webcast with each signee and their families. Brand, whose father is a successful high school coach, was remarkable, stating that he couldn’t wait to be in Blacksburg and compete against all of the quarterbacks.

That is precisely the mentality you want in every role.

Two days after signing, Brand received some good news: he was selected South Carolina’s Gatorade Player of the Year.

This season, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound quarterback tossed for over 2,300 yards and 27 touchdowns while also rushing for over 1,600 yards and 22 scores.

On Friday, Brand guided Irmo High School to a state semifinal victory over White Knoll. Next week, Brand will compete for a state championship before traveling to Blacksburg in January.

Good luck and congratulations, AJ.
