Kansas State has hired a new soccer coach. A former Mountain West Coach of the Year, takes over from Mike Dibbini, who stepped down last month for health reasons. She will become the second head coach in the program’s history and has signed a five-year contract with the Wildcats. Corbin previously coached at Wyoming and Saint Louis.
“We are excited to welcome Colleen to K-State as the new head of our soccer program,” Taylor said in a statement. “She has a strong history of developing and leading successful teams, as shown by her time at Wyoming.
Her recent experience at Saint Louis allowed her to further grow as a coach and leave her mark on an already high-performing program.” Corbin spent the previous season as the associate head coach at Saint Louis, where she helped the team achieve a 15-2-6 record, including a 7-0-3 mark in the Atlantic 10, securing a conference championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. The Billikens advanced to the second round after a 1-0 victory over Kansas. Prior to that, Corbin was the head coach at Wyoming, leading the team to a shared conference title in 2022 and earning Coach of the Year honors in the Mountain West.
“I am both honored and excited to be named the next head coach of Kansas State women’s soccer,” Corbin said. “I want to personally thank Gene Taylor, Jill Shields, and Matt Thomason for their dedication throughout the hiring process, as well as for their trust in me and belief in the program. It’s clear that K-State has the resources and a passionate community to help the team succeed and continue to grow.”
