Today seems an early signing day for college football players in the Class of 2025, and Virginia Tech had 17 recruits ready to sign on Tuesday after Matthew Outten switched his commitment from the Hokies to Penn State back in September. Brent Pry, the head coach, received his 18th commitment on Tuesday night.
Highly rated cornerback from Camden, South Carolina, has declared his commitment to Virginia Tech over Duke, North Carolina State, Houston, Memphis, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and Mississippi State.
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Crim has a three-star rating of 86, and his pledge places the Hokies 44th in the Class of 2025. He is the class’s second South Carolina recruit, joining Irmo quarterback AJ Brand. It was stated that South Carolina was attempting to persuade Brand to change his mind, but he remains committed to Pry at this time.
Crim revealed why he chose Virginia Tech above other colleges.
“Virginia Tech is doing it the right way and is going to be a winning program that way. I believe I fit the environment and that I will succeed in academics, football, and life at Virginia Tech.”
– Jordan Crim
Recent crystal ball predictions for Crim were coming in for the Hokies, and that’s how it turned out. Pry and his crew have assembled a class that includes a number of athletes and players that have lately seen their ranks rise from third to fourth. It is less than 24 hours until they formally enroll with Virginia Tech, and it will only be a matter of time before they arrive on campus.
