Just one week after decommitting from NC State, Chambers High School (N.C.) three-star wide receiver has announced his commitment to the Kansas State Wildcats.
He is the younger brother of NC State sophomore receiver and reigning ACC Rookie of the Year KC Concepcion, visited Kansas State over the weekend. His visit included attending the Wildcats’ 41-15 home victory over Cincinnati. On Sunday, he announced his commitment to Kansas State.
Kansas State officially joined the race for Concepcion on Monday, less than a day after he decommitted from NC State.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound wide receiver, known for his speed, had initially committed to Dave Doeren’s program in June. Currently, he ranks No. 1,460 overall, No. 201 among wide receivers, and No. 33 in North Carolina in the 247Sports 2025 Composite rankings.
With 18 verbal commitments and less than two weeks until the Dec. 4 early signing day, NC State’s 2025 recruiting class is ranked No. 49 nationally and No. 11 in the ACC, according to 247Sports.
While Dave Doeren and his staff’s efforts in this cycle may not be groundbreaking, they are far from disastrous—especially when compared to their rival’s struggles. The 2025 UNC football class has dwindled to just 10 commits, dropping to No. 78 nationally and No. 17 in the ACC.
