NC State football head coach Dave Doeren and his coaching staff secured their 19th recruit for the 2025 class with the commitment of defensive end from Pearl River Community College in Mississippi. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound prospect, who is ranked as a top-tier three-star, is the first junior college player to join the Wolfpack’s recruiting class.
He is a highly versatile defensive lineman from Alabama, is ranked No. 20 overall in the 247Sports JUCO Composite.
He visited NC State on an official trip last weekend, just under two weeks after receiving an offer from head coach Dave Doeren and his staff. During his visit, he attended the Wolfpack’s 29-19 loss to the Duke Blue Devils at Carter-Finley Stadium.
In his eight games as a sophomore this season, Prim recorded 49 tackles, including nine for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He also forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.
With Prim’s commitment, which includes plans to arrive in Raleigh in January with two years of eligibility remaining, NC State’s 2025 recruiting class now ranks No. 44 nationally and No. 10 among ACC schools, according to 247Sports. The class includes just one composite four-star player, Jerel Bolder, a wide receiver from Forest Hills High School in North Carolina.
