BREAKING: LSU Football Star Makes Stunning Decision on His Future After Suffering Terrible Injury

West Weeks, a seasoned linebacker, has recently appeared on the injured report. Whit’s older brother has been suffering with an injury that has sidelined him, raising concerns after LSU lost Harold Perkins Jr. for the season due to an ACL injury.

After suffering an injury and falling behind Greg Penn III and Whit Weeks, West Weeks has decided to use his redshirt year to return to LSU in 2025, according to LSU Odyssey.

Weeks has played three games, making six total tackles, two of which were solo, and 0.5 tackles for loss. Weeks has only played three games this season, but he can still play one more so LSU can deploy him in an emergency.

This move is likely to result in a Weeks-led linebacking corps for LSU next season. The Tigers will lose Senior Greg Penn III, while Harold Perkins Jr. will most likely test his luck in the NFL Draft.

In many ways, this is a wise approach, especially since LSU can keep him available in case a circumstance arises in which LSU needs to use the last game he can play.

This creates some terrifying circumstances, such as when LSU lost Greg Penn III for a play this weekend or if either linebacker receives a targeting penalty.

When Penn III went out and in certain passing scenarios, we saw true freshman Xavier Atkins enter the game, and he’ll be a name to watch going ahead. After losing Harold Perkins, the Tigers modified their defensive system, abandoning many of their three-man linebacking formations in favor of Whit Weeks and Penn.
