Women’s basketball to host UNC Asheville

Sunday night’s 71-52 loss to Iowa at the Ally Tip-Off in Charlotte provided valuable lessons for first-year women’s basketball coach Megan Duffy and her team. It’s still early in the season, and there’s plenty of time to rebound. Now, the Hokies return home to face UNC Asheville at 6 p.m., with the game available on ACC Network Extra. Virginia Tech will also host Coppin State on Saturday afternoon.

Women’s basketball commit to announce decision

Class of 2025 five-star Kaelyn Carroll, a standout at Tabor Academy in Rochester, Mass., is set to announce her college decision on Wednesday. Crystal ball predicts football commitment flip

During the Hokies’ 24-14 loss to Clemson on Saturday, it was a significant day for recruiting activity on campus. Among the visitors was Aydan West, a three-star Class of 2025 cornerback from Maryland. West, who committed to Michigan State in June, may be reconsidering his decision. According to 247Sports, a new Crystal Ball prediction favors Virginia Tech securing a flip from him.

With signing day less than a month away, any potential flip could happen soon. However, the Hokies are familiar with the flips going the other way, as they lost Class of 2025 commit Matthew Outten to Penn State in September. Virginia Tech is hoping to avoid a repeat and build momentum as signing day approaches.
