BREAKING: Ravens Get Huge Boost With The Addition of Another Top Experienced Star

The Baltimore Ravens are riding high after their Week 6 victory over the Washington Commanders but remain focused on improving. To bolster their defense, the team signed defensive end to the active roster, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He was previously on the Ravens’ practice squad, has already contributed in two games this season, recording a tackle, two quarterback hits, and a sack. His performance earned him a solid 69.6 grade from Pro Football Focus, considering his limited playing time.

By adding Ngakoue to the active roster, the Ravens achieve two key objectives: enhancing their defensive line with a respected veteran and ensuring he remains with the team, preventing other franchises from signing him off the practice squad.

While much of the attention has been on Lamar Jackson and the offense, the Ravens’ defense is currently ranked 16th in the league, allowing 334.7 yards per game. They have been strong against the run, leading the NFL by permitting just 59 yards per game, but have struggled in pass defense, ranking 31st and allowing 275.7 yards per game. Ngakoue’s addition is expected to help the Ravens improve their defensive performance as they look to build on their recent success.

Yannick Ngakoue will not be lining up at quarterback anytime soon. However, perhaps his pressure off the line makes things simpler for Baltimore’s secondary. The Ravens evidently liked what they saw and believe Ngakoue might contribute for the rest of the season.

It’s not the first time Baltimore and the defensive end have teamed up. Ngakoue played with the Ravens in 2020. That season, the squad fell in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. The Ravens, who are 4-2 entering Week 7, hope to go much further this season. Ngakoue is now here full-time to help Baltimore achieve its lofty goals.
