The Buffalo Bills understand that they have had some success against the Kansas City Chiefs in recent regular season games. While their postseason problems against the two-time defending champions are well known, the squad feels they are the ones who will put an end to Kansas City’s 9-0 start in 2024. A large portion of the reason? The offense is led by MVP candidate Josh Allen and the supporting cast.
The Chiefs have one of the strongest defenses in football, with All-Pro players at every position group. While many teams have suffered under the weight of their physicality, Buffalo is particularly prepared to handle it when the two teams face off on Sunday. At least, that is the expectation.
“They’ve been the best defense in the NFL for the last couple of years,” Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady said. “It’s a credit to, you can see the natural shifts and how good of a job Spags (Steve Spagnuolo) has done, kind of transforming that defense and getting into the type of identity that they want to be, and they make it tough on all three downs.”
Buffalo may be lacking top receiving threats such as Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman, but they use a combination of running backs and quality tight ends to keep the offense moving.
Winning eight of your first ten games will undoubtedly help in this aspect. With a pivotal battle against the Chiefs on Sunday, Buffalo understands that their offense will be critical to the team’s success.
