Just In: Notre Dame Lands Blockbuster Commitment from Highly-Rated Four-Star QB

A four-star quarterback in the Class of 2025, has changed his mind about Clemson and committed to Notre Dame. He announced his decision to leave the Tigers on Monday evening via social media.

“I’d like to begin by thanking the Clemson coaching staff and the program itself for everything they’ve done for me,” Hebert wrote in a statement posted on X (previously Twitter). “With that said, I have decided to rescind my pledge and will spend the following four years at another university. “Romans 8:18.”

Minutes later, Hebert shared a graphic expressing his allegiance to the Fighting Irish.

Hebert, who now attends Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut, committed to Clemson in June 2023.

Notre Dame recently lost its longtime class of 2025 quarterback promise, Deuce Knight, who pledged to the Fighting Irish in September 2023 but switched to Auburn on October 2.

With Knight’s departure to Auburn, Notre Dame needed to find a replacement signal-caller before the December 4 early signing period for the 2025 class, and the Fighting Irish have found their man in Hebert.

Two of Hebert’s high school teammates, four-star offensive tackle Matty Augustine and four-star safety Ethan Long, are presently committed to Notre Dame.

Hebert is the No. 3 prospect in the state of Connecticut and the No. 17 pro-style quarterback in the 2025 cycle.
