Just In: Ravens Receive Ground-breaking News Involving RB Derrick Henry

The Baltimore Ravens (4-2) are on a four-game winning streak, courtesy to their top-ranked rush assault, which is led by running back Derrick Henry.

The 30-year-old continues to prove his skeptics wrong, rushing for 132 yards and two scores in the Ravens’ 30-23 victory over the Washington Commanders (4-2) in Week 6.

It was Henry’s 20th career rush of 100 yards or more and multiple touchdowns, putting him in a small group of Hall of Famers.

According to NFL.com researcher Dante Koplowitz-Fleming, Henry is the only player since 1950 to have reached those single-game thresholds at least 20 times, joining Hall of Fame running backs Jim Brown (25), LaDainian Tomlinson (25), and Emmitt Smith (21).

In addition, Henry became the first player since Tomlinson in 2005 to score a running touchdown in each of his team’s first six games.

However, he believes his huge day was influenced by the players around him on Baltimore’s offense.

“I feel like everything was working; it was like, ‘Pick your poison,'” Henry told Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “Everyone did an excellent job of remaining focused and executing. Hats out to everyone on offense for putting plays together and fielding these drives to put us in a position to win.”

Still, the Ravens are setting rushing records that haven’t been broken in over 50 years. Baltimore has run for at least 150 yards and a score in each of its six games this season. The last team to do so was the 1971 Raiders.

This all confirms what everyone suspected when the Ravens signed Henry to a two-year contract in March: the two are a match made in heaven.

Henry will have a chance to build on his great start in Baltimore when the squad travels to face the Buccaneers (4-2) in Week 7.

Things will be a little more tougher because Tampa Bay is in the top third of the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (113.3), but no one has been able to stop Henry yet. So it would be remarkable if that changed this week.

Henry has run for 704 yards on 119 rushes (5.9 yards per carry) and scored eight touchdowns this season. He also has six receptions for 49 yards and another touchdown.
