BREAKING: Bills confirm unexpected setback with star already ruled out for Week 11 showdown with Kansas City Chiefs

Just a day after the Buffalo Bills extended their win streak to five games, improving to 8-2 for the first time since 1993, head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that the wide receiver will be sidelined for their Week 11 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Highmark Stadium.

On Monday, McDermott announced his absence following a wrist injury sustained late in the Bills’ Week 9 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The injury occurred when Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer’s helmet struck Coleman’s hand, and he missed his first game this past Sunday. McDermott had previously noted that Coleman would likely miss multiple weeks but expressed optimism about avoiding Injured Reserve designation, partly due to the team’s upcoming bye in Week 12.

During the same press conference, McDermott provided an update on wide receiver Amari Cooper, who is also dealing with a wrist injury. While Cooper is improving, the coaching staff will monitor his progress throughout the week before determining his availability for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. McDermott acknowledged that returning to action will partly depend on Cooper’s pain tolerance.

Reggie Gilliam, the Bills’ sole fullback, finds himself in a similar situation as Cooper. After missing two games with a hip injury, Gilliam is also listed as “improving,” but McDermott remains cautious and wants to assess his status throughout the week before making any commitments regarding his return.

In addition, tight end Dalton Kincaid and right tackle Spencer Brown both suffered injuries during the team’s win over the Indianapolis Colts. Kincaid sustained a knee injury and had to spend the latter part of the game on the sidelines despite initially attempting to stay in. Brown, who rolled his ankle in the second half, briefly left the game for treatment but was able to return. The team’s training staff will continue to evaluate both players over the coming days to determine their readiness for Week 11.

The Bills are set to practice today (Wednesday), but further updates on the roster’s health may remain limited, as McDermott is known for keeping injury details as private as league policies permit.
