On Sunday afternoon, the Buffalo Bills (6-2) will play host to their AFC East division rivals, the Miami Dolphins (2-5). The Bills will aim to maintain their divisional domination against an underperforming opponent. The Bills have won three in a row and lead their division by four games. With the failing Dolphins coming to town, quarterback Josh Allen and his teammates must be watchful and avoid falling into a trap. Curtis Samuel and Amari Cooper are labeled as questionable this week and were restricted in practice on Thursday, so they will most likely be game-time choices Sunday.
Cooper was dealt to the Bills three weeks ago, and he had an immediate impact in his first game. Edge Rusher Von Miller returns to the field this week to continue pestering opposing quarterbacks for a top-10 defense in the league. Getting him back on the field will be a tremendous benefit to this Bills squad.
The Dolphins come to town having lost two games in a row. Their two wins this season came by one touchdown over the faltering Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots. In Week 2, they were defeated 31-10 at home by the Bills.
The offense performed substantially better in a one-point loss last week after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned. The former Alabama standout missed four games due to a concussion he sustained against the Bills in Week 2…. and he’s crucial here, since the Miami offense is entirely different when he’s well. These two long-time rivals will face off on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo.
