Latest : Seahawks Confirm Major Setback As Three Major Stars Suffer Terrible Injuries

The Seahawks conducted a walkthrough and shared an estimated participation report as if they had held a full practice. Four defensive players missed practice due to injuries, including cornerback, who suffered an ankle injury during the Week 5 loss to the Giants. He briefly left the game but returned before being unable to finish. His availability remains uncertain, but the team anticipates having more information as the week progresses. Similarly, Derick Hall missed practice due to a foot injury, and his status for the upcoming matchup against the 49ers is also unknown.

Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu did not participate on Monday after sustaining a thigh injury in Sunday’s game against the Giants. Nwosu had missed the first four games of the season with a knee injury and made his season debut in Week 5, but he exited early in the second quarter with the new injury. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed in Monday’s press conference that Nwosu would not play on Thursday. “We won’t have him back Thursday, and we’ll evaluate in the next few days to see if it will be longer than that,” Macdonald said.

Rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II is at risk of missing another game due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Week 3 victory over the Dolphins. He has been unable to practice since then and may need an additional week to recover given the short turnaround this week. “Byron’s timetable is still uncertain. It seems like it might take one more week,” said Macdonald.

Boye Mafe missed his second consecutive game on Sunday but was one of four players limited in practice on Monday. He has been nursing a knee injury and is doing everything he can to return against the 49ers after missing the last two weeks. “Boye wants to play; he’s working hard,” Macdonald stated. “It’s now about whether we can proceed safely and if he feels ready. It’s going to come down to the wire with Boye.”

The 49ers did not practice on Monday but issued an estimated participation report as if they had. Six players were marked as ‘did not participate’ due to injuries, including two starters in the secondary: safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Charvarius Ward, who are dealing with wrist and knee injuries, respectively. Tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner were among three players who participated in limited capacity.
