Key Burnley figure now facing premier league suspension

A crucial Burnley player is only one game away from being suspended.

Josh Cullen has started all nine of Burnley’s Premier League games so far this season, but he faces a suspension.

Any player who receives five bookings in his team’s first 19 Premier League games will be suspended for one match in the same tournament. The Carabao Cup and FA Cup do not carry over yellow cards.
Cullen has four yellow cards this season, putting him one yellow card away from a suspension.

The 27-year-old received his latest booking during Saturday’s 3-0 loss at Brentford. He was also cautioned against Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea.

Three bookings have been issued to Connor Roberts, Sander Berge, and Jordan Beyer. Charlie

Taylor and Josh Brownhill have two each, with James Trafford, Arijanet Muric, Hjalmar Ekdal,

Hannes Delcroix, Johann Gudmundsson, Wilson Odobert, Zeki Amdouni, and Jay Rodriguez each having one.

On the subject of suspensions, Roberts will miss Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth after being sent off against Brentford for two bookable offences last weekend.

He will serve a one-match suspension and will be available for next week’s midweek Carabao Cup match against Everton.

Lewis Cook will be absent from Bournemouth’s lineup this weekend at the Vitality Stadium.

The midfielder was sent off for aggressive conduct in Bournemouth’s 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday, beginning a three-match ban.

Cook will be unavailable for Bournemouth’s next two league games, as well as their Carabao Cup fixture against Liverpool.
