The Buffalo Bills maintained a commanding lead and won their second consecutive game on Sunday, thumping the Tennessee Titans 34-10. The Bills’ offense, which has struggled to find the end zone in recent weeks, scored easily on Sunday. Josh Allen ended with 323 passing yards and two touchdowns, while the Bills’ running backs scored two scores on the ground. While several Buffalo receivers had strong performances, notably newcomer Amari Cooper, who finished with 66 yards and a touchdown, youngster Keon Coleman stood out the most. The teenage receiver finished the game with four receptions for 125 yards, a career high.
Coleman’s accomplishment was recognized on Thursday, when he was named the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 7. Coleman is the first receiver and only the third player to receive this award in 2024. Jayden Daniels, quarterback for the Washington Commanders, had won the award five times in the first six weeks, with New York Jets running back Braelon Allen taking the title in Week 2. Following a rough start to his rookie season, Coleman has recently began to develop chemistry with Allen.
Coleman was targeted 11 times in the Bills’ first four games, but 16 times in his last three. With Cooper joining the offense, Buffalo has the potential to have one of the league’s most explosive passing offenses.
Coleman will aim to build on his career-best performance when the Bills play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
