News Flash: Arizona Cardinals Overwhelmed As Top Star Return From A Devastating Injury

The Cardinals have activated offensive lineman from injured reserve, the team announced on Wednesday.

Jones was drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round this spring but suffered an ankle injury during the preseason, leading to his placement on injured reserve. The team opened his 21-day practice window on October 2, which necessitated his activation to the active roster or a decision to keep him on IR for the entire season.

Additionally, the Cardinals announced the signing of quarterback Anthony Brown Jr. to their practice squad. This move comes after Desmond Ridder departed their practice squad to join the Raiders, leaving the team in need of a third quarterback.

Brown, who is from Oregon, spent the preseason with the Bills. He was on the Ravens’ practice squad in 2022 as an undrafted rookie and was with the Raiders during the 2023 preseason. In his brief stint with the Ravens, he played in two games, completing 22 of 49 passes for 302 yards and throwing two interceptions.
