Bills expert reveals massive insights ahead of Week 8 clash vs. Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are on the verge of making a bad situation worse. Following a surprise victory over the Falcons in Week 7, Seattle returns to Lumen Field to face the very talented Buffalo Bills. Seattle might also be without DK Metcalf in the game.

The Seahawks’ best receiver suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain in Week 7 and is considered week-to-week. 12s won’t know if he can play until later this week. If he is unable to participate, Seattle may need Kenneth Walker III to perform even better against Buffalo.

We had the opportunity to speak with Bills specialist Brandon Ray from BuffaloLowDown and learn more about the Bills ahead of the game. Ray has some comments about the Bills that might concern Seahawks fans.

Seahawks vs. Bills Week 8 insights

1.) Josh Allen was already an incredibly efficient passer prior to the signing of wide receiver Amari Cooper. How much does getting Cooper assist Allen and the offense as a whole?

The acquisition of Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills’ offense is a significant improvement. It’s an ideal match for both sides. The Bills lacked a legitimate WR1 presence, and Cooper’s season was slipping away in Cleveland. The addition of Cooper and Allen to Buffalo’s receiving core strengthens the offense’s danger.

2.) The Bills’ defensive rushing numbers have been thrown off by what transpired against the Baltimore Ravens, but what kind of flaws can Geno Smith and the Seahawks look to exploit against Buffalo?

The Bills’ run defense has been lackluster at best this season. However, another shortcoming is their inability to recognize play-action calls on defense. Last Sunday against the Titans, Mason Rudolph made Buffalo’s defense look silly in the first half with simple play-action passes that the Bills couldn’t stop. While the adjustment came in the second half, the first half was terrible to witness.

3.) Who are some unknown Bills players who Seahawks supporters should be concerned about?

Some unheralded Bills players who should scare Seahawks fans include rookie DT DeWayne Carter and rookie RB Ray Davis (yes, two rookies!). Carter played the last three weeks while Ed Oliver recovered from a hamstring injury, and his run-stopping ability came in handy for Buffalo at various points.

Ray Davis believes he is the ideal complementing back for James Cook. Davis is a strong runner who had a breakout game against the Jets two weeks ago (more than 100 all-purpose yards), and then led the Bills in rushing last week.
