Breaking: Talented 2025 five-star Indiana target shocks program with commitment decision

Indiana native and Greenfield-Central basketball standout Braylon Mullins has made his commitment decision. He announced his decision live on 247Sports at 6 p.m. ET.

As a junior last season, Mullins led Greenfield-Central to an impressive 24-1 record, averaging 25 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game while shooting 43% from beyond the arc.

Speaking with 247Sports’ National Basketball Analyst Travis Branham, Mullins praised UConn’s head coach, Dan Hurley, saying, “He knows how to win and how to coach you to win.” Mullins appreciated Hurley’s approach, feeling valued and seeing his playing style as a natural fit. “He showed me how I could excel in their system,” Mullins said, noting that Hurley highlighted Cam Spencer’s role in the offense, which included off-ball, on-ball, and ball-screen actions. “He emphasized the importance of playing hard and working hard, which resonated with me.”

He picked the UConn Huskies over the Indiana Hoosiers and the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Standing at 6-foot-5, Mullins offers elite size for a guard and is known for his strong shooting skills and impressive range. He fits Hurley’s vision with his high basketball IQ and ability to excel off the ball offensively. Defensively, he’s a solid perimeter player who disrupts passing lanes, averaging nearly 1.5 steals per game.

According to 247Sports, Mullins ranks as the No. 23 player nationally, the No. 5 shooting guard, and the No. 3 recruit in Indiana for the 2025 class.
