Breaking: Four-star talent officially decommits from Indiana Hoosiers program

Byron Baldwin, a four-star cornerback from Baltimore, Maryland, has withdrawn his commitment to the Indiana Hoosiers.

Baldwin, who is from Baltimore, Maryland, has been committed to Indiana since the spring. He just had a formal visit to Colorado, and as a result, he earned offers from Penn State and Virginia Tech.

All of the recruiting attention seemed to have shaken his commitment to the Hoosiers, but he has since opened up again.

According to 247Sports, Baldwin has already camped at Penn State, and he appears to have gotten the attention of safeties coach Anthony Poindexter. It appears like the Nittany Lions want to bring him back on campus for an official visit.

Colorado will be a major component in Baldwin’s recruitment moving forward, especially now that Deion Sanders has committed to him, but Baldwin has also stated that Missouri is a top choice for him.

Furthermore, Indiana is not entirely out of the picture. The four-star told Rivals’ Ryan O’Bleness that he will continue to explore the Hoosiers and believes they have “potential to be an amazing program.”

Finally, wherever he ends up. Baldwin aspires to be a playmaker. According to 247Sports, he is the nation’s No. 19 safety. He was the highest-ranked recruit in Indiana’s 2025 class.
