Breaking News: Florida State Shares Ground Breaking News Regarding QB

After injuring his finger during a loss to SMU, Florida State quarterback might miss the Seminoles’ upcoming game against No. 15 Clemson.

Head coach Mike Norvell told the media that the team would “see where it goes from here,” according to ESPN’s Andrea Adelson. If he is unable to play, backup quarterback Brock Glenn is expected to start for FSU. Both top stars are listed as co-starters on the depth chart, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Before his injury, he was already facing a tough season. Including the game against SMU, he has completed just 53.8% of his passes, with four touchdowns and six interceptions.

While the 2024 season has been disappointing for the Seminoles, the struggles can’t all be pinned on him. Some of his decisions have been questionable, but he’s also been sacked 12 times. The team has averaged only 15.6 points per game and has converted just under 30% of its third-down attempts, which ranks 109th out of 134 FBS teams.

In his Monday press conference, head coach Mike Norvell acknowledged both Uiagalelei’s ups and downs. “DJ did make a lot of good throws throughout the course of the game and some good decisions,” Norvell said. “He made some poor decisions and a couple bad throws, but you’ve got to help the quarterback. I don’t think we’ve done a good job of that consistently. At the end of the day, we all have to take ownership in that.”

In his limited action with the Seminoles, including last season’s ACC championship game, Brock Glenn has completed just 19 of 55 pass attempts for 229 yards and two interceptions. While he has rushed for a touchdown, he has yet to throw a touchdown pass.

The Seminoles will face the No. 15 Clemson Tigers at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the game being broadcast on ESPN.
