In a related move , the Braves sent infielder Cavan Biggio down to Triple-A Gwinnett. Biggio, 29, has appeared in four games with Atlanta this season, going 1-for-5. He’s also played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers this year.

The son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, Cavan had a strong rookie season in 2019, posting 16 homers, 48 RBIs, and 14 steals in 100 games, earning a fifth-place finish in the AL Rookie of the Year voting. However, his production has since declined, with Biggio failing to hit double digits in home runs or record 70 hits in any season since. He holds a career .225 average with 51 home runs and 186 RBIs over 524 games.
