This morning’s awful news comes from the Netherlands, as Newcastle United loanee Yankubah Minteh is expected to miss time.
Minteh joined Newcastle in the summer and was quickly loaned out to Eredivisie winners Feyenoord, where he’s enjoyed a wonderful start to life in Rotterdam.
The 19-year-old winger has three goals in nine games for Arne Slot’s side but is now anticipated to be out for several weeks, according to Feyenoord’s statement on X.
Minteh is out for several weeks due to injury.
On to a good recovery, Yankuba! 💪

Minteh will be absent for ‘several weeks’
Minteh appears to be thriving in the Netherlands, but some critics of his game have suggested that he is a little too selfish and all about personal fame.
He’s still young, and such behavior can be taught out of him
Eddie Howe has frequently stated that his ideal signing is someone he can nurture, and he reiterated that point last night at Pete Graves’ book launch, where he took part in a Q&A with Kevin Keegan.
Hopefully, Minteh can heal quickly and be back scoring goals for Feyenoord before returning to Newcastle in the summer.
He’s never been, we say, because he signed his Newcastle contract in the Netherlands in July and immediately flew to Rotterdam to join his temporary colleagues for pre-season.
