DEFENDER Ryan Manning will miss the Saints’ away game against Preston North End on Wednesday evening due to suspension.
The Irish full back’s yellow card against Hull was his fifth of the season, for tripping a Tigers player after getting caught in possession.
According to EFL disciplinary rules, players who receive five yellow cards in the first 19 games of the season will be suspended for one game.
Martin announced that he will be without the 27-year-old at Deepdale following Southampton’s 2-1 win against Hull on Saturday.
Quick check and does mean Ryan Manning is banned for the next match after accumulating five yellow cards.

“We’ve lost him; this is his fifth booking.” When questioned if losing his former Swansea full back is a setback, he responded, “They are good enough to deal with it.”
“I believe he (Manning) has grown into the role, as have so many others.” Players who have not been playing must be prepared to contribute.”
This season, the former Scotland international has been quite happy with his full backs, as Kyle Walker-Peters and Manning have started all but one game together.
Juan Larios, Southampton’s only other natural senior left-back, is currently out injured after a setback in his recovery.
Walker-Peters may be forced to play on the left, like he did against Middlesbrough when Manning was listed among the substitutes.
This could provide an opportunity for James Bree and Mason Holgate, who have both been confined to very few minutes this season under Martin.
A move at left back isn’t the only one likely ahead of Saints’ trip to fourth-place Preston, the second of three games in eight days.
“Taylor (Harwood-Bellis) entered the game after only one day of practice.” “We’ll have to evaluate him,” Martin continued.
“He appeared to be in good health, so fingers crossed he made it through.” There are a few exhausted people in there.
“There have been players who have been away on international duty who have played minutes, so we will have to evaluate everything.”
“I am certain that we will require everyone. The team will be changed on Wednesday and Saturday.
“I hope the team has progressed to the point where we can take one or two out and replace them with one or two in.” I have complete faith in all of them.
“They’re all developing together.” Someone will have an opportunity, and they will have to seize it.”
