Milan’s Emil Roback finally speaks out after going missing

Emil Roback has said that he suffers from depression following the peculiar situation concerning his loan club IFK Norrkoping.

Aftonbladet claimed earlier this week that Norrköping cannot contact Milan loanee Roback and that sporting director Tony Martinsson has been trying to contact him for two weeks.

The Roback matter was then concluded, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. They confirmed with player sources that the Swedish forward has returned to the Norrkoping training facility.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has now relayed Roback’s statements to Sportbladet regarding what he was going through and his return to Norrkoping.

“I didn’t want to see anyone except my family. I suffer from a form of depression,” he said.

“I haven’t been feeling well lately. In fact, very bad. I didn’t want to go out or see people, only my relatives. I felt like my head wasn’t in the right place, so I closed in on myself.

“It probably wasn’t the right thing to do, but it happened that way. Depression? I think it’s that, but I’ve never experienced it before.”

The club also issued the following statement: “Emil has finally reconnected with the club, but he is going through a bad period in his life.” Despite this, the player has declared his intention to return to the field, and Norrkoping wishes him luck!”
