The Nebraska Cornhuskers have secured a new tight end, Mac Markway, just before the start of the season.
Always trying to add talent, the Nebraska Cornhuskers made an intriguing addition before the season began when LSU transfer tight end Mac Markway tweeted a photo of a NU helmet with the hashtag #GOHUSKERS on Tuesday morning.
Markway’s Twitter bio describes him as a tight end at Nebraska.
The addition comes just days before the team’s season opener against UTEP, and it raises a few questions: will Markway be eligible in 2024, how did Nebraska act so quickly on the tight end, and what does this imply for the future.

Parkway, a sophomore in the 2023 class, signed with LSU and played in 12 games last season, including one start versus Mississippi State.
In his freshman season, the tight end had three receptions and one touchdown.
Markway played for DeSmet High School in St. Louis and was ranked by 247Sports as the country’s No. 9 tight end. He was also ranked as the No. 242 player in the 2023 class by 247Sports Composite.
Markway explored numerous colleges during his recruitment, but ultimately chose to join Brian Kelly’s first complete class with the LSU Tigers after initially committing to Florida before opening things up.
