Kieran Trippier says he absolutely loves playing with £20m Newcastle player

Newcastle has produced numerous well-known duos over the years.

Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand were one of the top Premier League strike pairs in the 1990s, while Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse were one of the best duos in the 2011/12 season.
Newcastle no longer has a strike tandem, but they do have a dynamic combo down the right wing.

Indeed, speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube account, Kieron highlighted Miguel Almiron as one of his favorite teammates of all time, claiming a particular bond with the Paraguayan on the field.

Almiron and Trippier have a special bond

Trippier mentioned his £20 million teammate.

“I really enjoy playing with Miggy; I believe we have a great understanding on the field and a great friendship off the field.” We just don’t appear to have that genuine connection on the right side. “I enjoy playing with all of them, but Miggy is my favorite,” Trippier remarked.

Trippier and Almiron brilliant

A few years ago, nobody would have believed you if you’d said that Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron would form one of the best right flanks in the Premier League, but, here we are.

Indeed, these two are absolutely terrific down the right side for Newcastle, with Almiron becoming a real goalscoring phenomenon and Trippier constantly being one of the league’s great creative forces from right-back.

Newcastle may not have the most individual talent of any Premier League team, but it is their relationship and chemistry that makes them such a fantastic team.

When Trippier and Almiron link down the right flank, Newcastle is really fortunate to have two players who understand each other’s game so well.
