BREAKING: Florida lands another top commitment for special player over big SEC rivals

The Florida Gators were always in a strong position for four-star forward, but his commitment is still a significant achievement for head coach and his team.

CJ Ingram, who hails from Orlando, Florida (Oak Ridge High School), is the son of Cornelius Ingram, a former second-team All-SEC tight end for Florida and a member of the Gators’ BCS national championship teams in 2007 and 2009.

Despite Florida’s advantage in this recruitment, it was still noteworthy that they secured Ingram’s commitment over offers from Kansas, Michigan, and Georgia.

Ingram shared with On3’s Joe Tipton, “It always felt like home. The atmosphere with the fans is unique. My visit felt nearly perfect, and I’m excited to do this at home with friends and family around. Coach Todd, Coach Taurean Green, Coach Hartmann, and Coach Talley consistently show me how I can develop and fit into their system.”

Ingram describes himself as a “two-way slasher” who is capable of playing the one, two, or three positions in college. He is ranked as the No. 11 small forward in the 2025 recruiting class by 247Sports.

Ingram’s commitment marks Florida’s second addition for the class, joining four-star combo guard Alex Lloyd, and boosts the Gators’ recruiting class into the top-10 nationally.
