The Dallas Cowboys lost their first preseason game of the year on Sunday afternoon to the Los Angeles Rams. Given the exhibition nature of the event, what is most essential is how the team appeared and what they may learn from their performance. Above that, however, is the issue of injuries, since the most important aspect is to emerge healthy.
Unfortunately, that is not totally true, as Cowboys tackle Chuma Edoga left the game with a reported foot injury, specifically to his toe. According to accounts, he was wearing a walking boot shortly following the game.
Edoga has the potential to be the team’s starting left tackle in Week 1, and if not, he will be the primary swing tackle. That level of depth is incredibly helpful. The Cowboys’ offensive line depth looked a touch iffy against the Rams, with Trey Lance seeing a lot of pressure. Getting Edoga back will be critical to the entire offensive line picture.
