According to a statement made by the Black Cats, a power outage affected the stadium on Monday afternoon, with club employees and partners working ’round the clock’ to guarantee this evening’s game can go ahead.

 

The game, which will be broadcast on Sky Sports, will begin at 7.45 p.m. as scheduled. However, the club has warned that the power outage may have an impact on supporters, particularly in terms of the availability of various refreshments at concourse kiosks, as well as longer-than-usual waits in some areas of the stadium.

 

The club has also contacted supporters who have purchased tickets for the Black Cats Bar, informing them that there will be no hot food available in that section and suggesting an alternative.
