Moseley played his first five seasons with the 49ers, including a rookie season in 2018 that lasted only three snaps due to a season-ending shoulder injury. Moseley had one of his greatest years in 2019, appearing in all 16 games (making nine starts) and making a career high 50 combined tackles with eight Passes were defended, and there was also one interception.

Throughout the team’s three playoff games, he recorded 14 tackles, four passes defended, and one interception, assisting the Niners in reaching Super Bowl LIV.

The 28-year-old was limited to 12 games in 2020 and 11 in 2021, but his 2022 season was cut short by a torn left ACL suffered during the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 5 road victory over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

He re-signed with the Lions on a one-year contract in March. According to ESPN, Moseley was “transitioning away from outside cornerback during training camp” to compete with Amik Robertson and Ifeatu Melifonwu for the team’s main nickel cornerback spot.
