East Carolina Men’s Basketball officially announced the signing of forward Reid Cason on Friday morning.
The Kingston, Oklahoma native averaged a double-double last year as a senior at Kingston High School, with 23 points and 12 rebounds per game, along with four assists and three blocks per contest. Cason was named to the Lake Country All-Conference team all four years, was twice recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year, and scored over 1,000 career points and rebounds during his time at Kingston.
“We are thrilled to welcome Reid Cason to the Pirate family,” head coach Michael Schwartz said. “He is a well-rounded student-athlete who values hard work both on the court and in the classroom. Standing at 6’10, Reid is a skilled and versatile forward capable of playing both in the post and on the perimeter. He is a natural fit for our offensive and defensive systems.”
Cason was also a three-time member of the New Year Classic All-Tournament Team and a two-time selection to the Wampus Cat Classic All-Tournament Team.
