Astonishing Attributes

Pickett, who is explosive, long, and rangy, has played both offense and defense in high school. He possesses a number of outstanding characteristics that are readily apparent when watching his movies. Defensively, he plays the ball well and has the potential to score after each interception. The physical demands of his game surpass his 180-pound physique. Pickett’s lengthy strides allow him to easily change directions and cover ground rapidly. He possesses a 100-meter sprint time of less than 10.3 seconds, thus speed is not a concern. As a three-sport athlete, he has plenty of space for improvement once he focuses solely on football.

Current Class Standing

The Tigers presently have 17 commitments for the 2025 class, which is fewer than all three teams ranked ahead of them. Three of the seventeen are five-star prospects. Now that Pickett has committed, LSU’s previous five pledges have all been on defense, with the last two in the secondary.

More good news could be on the way for the Tigers, as top-10 cornerback Jaboree Antoine is scheduled to announce his commitment this week. Antoine, a native of Raymond’s hometown of New Iberia, had originally committed to LSU before reopening his recruitment to include Miami, among other schools. Four-star safety and Nashville native CJ Jimcoily is also seriously considering the Tigers and could openly decide to join the safety class soon.
