The former four-star from North Crowley returns to Fort Worth following two seasons with the Tigers.
TCU Football made another transfer portal splash on Saturday by announcing the signing of former LSU tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpton. The Fort Worth native returns home after spending two seasons in Baton Rouge, where he appeared in 19 games and recorded seven receptions for 80 yards. Pimpton, a former four-star prospect from North Crowley High School, was ranked as the No. 6 tight end nationally in the 2023 Class and a top-25 overall player in Texas.
Pimpton, who stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 242 pounds, joins DJ Rogers in TCU’s tight end room, which will be without graduating senior Drake Dabney.
The TCU offense did not make much use of the tight end position in 2024, with Dabney and Rogers combining for only 251 total yards; however, another former LSU tight end thrived, as Jack Bech went over 1,000 receiving yards with 9 touchdowns in a receiver role in 2024, while Jared Wiley was an impressive offensive weapon at the position for TCU in 2022-23.
Pimpton will join former North Crowley Panthers defensive lineman Sterlin Brooks and defensive back Julian Knox on the Horned Frogs’ roster. He is TCU’s sixth addition in the winter portal window and second out of LSU, joining defensive back Kylin Jackson.
