Kansas State has added former West Georgia safety to its roster for the 2025 season. The transfer decision followed his official visit to Kansas State last weekend, which he described as a defining experience.
Moss, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior from West Point, Ga., has three years of eligibility to play two seasons. After starting the 2023 season at Dodge City Community College, he transferred to West Georgia, where he had an impressive campaign.
During the 2024 season in the United Athletic Conference, Moss led his team in snaps (732) and earned the highest PFF defensive grade (79.9) among players with over 550 snaps. He was West Georgia’s fourth-leading tackler with 56 total and excelled as a pass rusher, recording nine tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and an 80.7 pass-rush grade. Moss also demonstrated solid coverage skills, finishing with four pass breakups and a 76.1 coverage grade on 45 passing targets.
On special teams, Moss contributed as a returner, averaging 15.29 yards on seven punt returns and adding 42 yards on two kickoff returns.
Kansas State previously showed interest in Moss while he was at Troup High School, but he initially landed in junior college before transferring to West Georgia. The Wildcats acted quickly to offer him a spot when he entered the portal on December 9, beating out offers from Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Tulane, and Virginia. Ultimately, Moss chose Kansas State over Nebraska and Tulane.
Moss cited Kansas State’s development program and its ability to prepare players for the next level as key factors in his decision. “Everything about Kansas State felt like home,” Moss said, describing his impression of the campus, facilities, and people.
With veteran safeties Jordan Riley and Marques Sigle leaving after the Rate Bowl and other defensive backs like Nickendre Stiger and Dante Thomas entering the transfer portal, Kansas State has a need for experienced players in the secondary. Moss’s ability to contribute immediately makes him a valuable addition to the Wildcats as they aim to remain competitive in the Big 12.
