Josh Allen Turns Heads Getting X-Rays After Bills-Lions Game

In Week 15, the Buffalo Bills’ showdown against the Detroit Lions exceeded expectations. At Ford Field, Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Bills superstar Josh Allen combined for 1,080 yards and 90 points. Allen and company eventually defeated the Lions in a thrilling 48-42 victory. The Bills dual-threat phenom racked up 431 total yards and four touchdowns against the NFC’s top team, cementing his status as the MVP frontrunner.

While the 28-year-old quarterback left Ford Field with a large smile on his face after becoming the first player in NFL history to score 35 or more touchdowns in four consecutive seasons, Allen was hiding an injury. Right after the game, Allen went to get X-rays.

Allen clarified to reporters after the game that the X-rays were for precautionary reasons. “Yeah, I just took a funky fall,” he said. “More peace of mind than anything else.” Everything checked out. “I’m good.” It’s unclear when or how Allen was wounded, given that he received multiple hard knocks throughout the fight.

Knowing Allen is healthy, the Bills Mafia can breathe a sigh of relief, as they have a lot to celebrate following Buffalo’s tremendous victory over Detroit.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott praised Allen for his courageous performance against the Lions. “The best I’ve seen him play,” McDermott remarked. “I’m not surprised. When he sets a goal for the squad, he is difficult to stop. People have tried, and they will continue to try… it is simply incredible. With an 11-3 record, the Bills clinched the No. 2 slot in the AFC, and there is still a chance to take the No. 1 seed away from the Chiefs.
