Five-star Kansas State signee was officially recognized as a Navy All-American, an honor that reflects his exceptional talent and deep connection to his community and military heritage. The standout tight end from Goodland, Kansas, received his All-American Bowl jersey on Wednesday night during the Road to the Dome tour. Earlier that day, Cure reaffirmed his commitment to Kansas State, opting not to flip to Oregon after considering the switch.

Linkon Cure, one of the top-ranked tight ends in the nation, expressed his excitement for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious event in San Antonio. “I’m honestly very excited for everything—creating friendships and playing in a game with top-notch talent. I can’t wait to showcase my skills,” Cure shared. The military aspect of the event holds special significance for him, as several members of his family have served, including his great-grandfathers Wayne Rose, Darrell Mack, Ernie Cure, and Doren Knapp, as well as his grandfather Edward Cure.

Cure’s selection is a historic achievement for Goodland High School, marking the first time a player from the school has been chosen for this game. “It honestly means everything to me,” Cure said. “It’s been a lifelong goal, and I’m honored and blessed to achieve it. The hard work has paid off. My community has always supported me, and I’m excited to represent them and make everyone proud.”
