Josh Allen Facing Backlash For His Actions In Bills-Rams Game

After winning seven straight games, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills were defeated 44-42 by the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. Despite losing his second contest since becoming engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld, Allen performed at MVP level. The former Wyoming Cowboys standout completed 22 of 37 throws for 342 yards and three touchdowns, while also gaining 82 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. In addition, he became the only player in NFL history to score three or more passing touchdowns and three or more rushing touchdowns in the same game. However, there was another moment in the game that drew spectators’ attention.

Following the play, a Rams defender approached Allen and appeared to celebrate in front of the Bills quarterback. The Los Angeles player then collided with Allen’s facemask, prompting the quarterback to perform a bizarre act, flailing his head back as if he had been hit severely and pointing at the defender.

Allen’s flops over his seven-year NFL career have become so well-known that a one-minute highlight film showcasing his most theatrical acting roles has been created.

Still, NFL fans were unhappy with Allen’s latest mistake and took to social media to express their displeasure. “He wants to be the big man but his flopping antics should be flagged every time,” a supporter said. “This is soft football.” “What an embarrassment,” commented another. “This guy just plain sucks as a dude,” said the third. “Josh Allen is shameless and as soft as tissue paper,” said a fourth. “Nfl needs to start fining for these egregious flops.” Other supporters felt compelled to bring Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes into the discourse.

“If Mahomes was caught doing this, the entire internet would lose their damn minds – if you’re going to play it up, at least do a better job acting…” “Come on, Josh,” urged a user. “Josh Allen is everything that people say Patrick Mahomes is,” added a second. With the loss, Allen and the Bills fell to 10-3 on the season and no longer retain sole ownership of second place in the AFC, as the Pittsburgh Steelers secured the same record with a Week 14 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Buffalo will seek to rebound in Week 15 as it travels to Detroit to face the NFC’s top-ranked Lions.
